Lee Ji Ah is a South Korean actress and screenwriter. Born as Kim Sang Eun on February 2, 1978, she is reported to have moved to the United States with her family when she was in sixth grade and lived there for 10 years. During a visit to Korea in 2004, she appeared in a TV commercial for LG Telecom with actor Bae Yong Joon. She then moved back to Korea in 2005, changing her name to Kim Ji Ah before adopting the stage name Lee Ji Ah. She shot to stardom after being cast in the leading role of the 2007 television series “The Legend,” which also starred Bae Yong Joon. Lee Ji Ah has since starred in many popular films and television dramas, including “Beethoven Virus” (2008), “Style” (2009), “Athena: Goddess of War” (2010), “Me Too, Flower!(2011) and “The Woman Who Married Three Times” (2014). Lee Ji Ah also appears in the Viki original series “Dramaworld” (2016), which was filmed in both Los Angeles and Seoul. In addition to acting, Lee Ji Ah signed a three-picture contract in 2014 with Maybach Film Productions as a screenwriter. Lee Ji Ah was secretly married to famous Korean singer Seo Taiji from 1997 to 2006. Their marriage and divorce came to light in 2011 when Lee Ji Ah filed for a multimillion-dollar settlement.
